Sri Weld Ali Nasi Lemak

Walking around Penang Heritage and banking area is kind of fun and exploring. You can find lots of good foods while enjoying the heritage scenery.Dubbed as one of the best Nasi Lemak operator in the town, I have been patronizing this stall years ago, and seeing the price grew from RM1.50 or RM1.30 to RM1.80 per pack currently. Ali Nasi Lemak still serves the conventional nasi lemak wrapped in banana leaves (not newspaper!), and you will see an exodus of people herding the small stall during peak hours.

A great thing about Ali Nasi Lemak is that they prepared their rice using coconut milk, and not plain rice was served, which they deserved the name of authentic nasi lemak. If I were to nitpick, the nasi lemak I tasted today was inferior to the nasi lemak I tasted years ago, as the nasi lemak back dated years ago possess nicer sambal. The portion remained the same though, served nice to stuff a corner of your stomach.A pack of Nasi Lemak cost only RM1.50.
  • Fried anchovies and egg (Ikan bilis dan telur, normally you see the marking of BT)
  • Prawn (Udang, normally marked as U)
  • Chicken ( Ayam, normally marked as A)
  • Cutter fish ( Sotong, normally marked as S)
  • Plain ( just sambal and half pc of boiled egg)

The stall in located in the center of the main entrance. You will not miss this stall if you been to Sri Weld food court. Here is how the actual stall looks like.Medan Selera Sri WeldLebuh Pantai, 10200 George Town, Penang, MalaysiaTel: 016 - 4070717Business Hours: 7am - 5pm(It depends, the nasi lemak might sold out anytime)Closed on Sunday
